Hili Travel · From Piazza di San Simeone

Rome's squares as the light goes

A licensed guide walks a group of 14 at most from a Renaissance fountain near Via dei Coronari to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon square, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, as the evening comes on. It's a stroll through the centre at its prettiest hour, and the Pantheon is a stop outside, not a visit.

Rome at Sunset: Navona, Pantheon and Trevi

About this experience

Hili Travel starts this walk at the fountain on Piazza di San Simeone, a small square on Via dei Coronari. The fountain is a Giacomo della Porta design from 1589, moved here in 1973. The square is pedestrian, so taxis drop you nearby. The tour runs in English and German.

Five stops in two hours: 20 minutes at the fountain, 30 on Piazza Navona, 20 at the Pantheon, 30 at Trevi and 20 at the Spanish Steps. At the Pantheon the itinerary marks admission as "No": you stand on Piazza della Rotonda, hear the story and see the portico lit up, and then you move on. One 5-star guest said they'd have liked to go in.

At $52 this costs more than the daytime Trevi and Pantheon walk, which has more stops for $19. What you're paying for is the time of day and a group capped at 14. Guests mention Monica and Rialda by name, plus gelato and restaurant tips. The listing says it is wheelchair accessible; one guest still warned of hills, steps and cobblestones.
