Raphael Tours & Events · From Piazza Farnese

Four hours of eating past the Pantheon

A local guide walks you from the Campo de' Fiori market through Piazza Navona and past the Pantheon to the Trevi Fountain, with tastings, wine, beer and a sit-down lunch along the way. Come hungry and treat the Pantheon as a view from the square: the listing says plainly you don't go in.

Trevi, Pantheon and Campo de' Fiori Food and Wine Tour

About this experience

Raphael Tours & Events meets you at the fountain in the middle of Piazza Farnese; the guide holds a "FOOD TOUR" sign. The first 90 minutes are at the Campo de' Fiori market next door, tasting cheeses, cured meats and wine. Then an hour around Piazza Navona, half an hour at the Basilica of Sant'Eustachio, half an hour on the Pantheon's square and half an hour at the Trevi Fountain.

The food is the point, and guests say there's a lot of it. The listing calls the tastings a large lunch; reviews describe prosciutto and cheese with wine, pizza with beer, pasta at a sit-down restaurant, tiramisu, espresso and gelato. Wine, beer and soft drinks are included. Groups top out at 15.

Two firm limits. The listing says the tour "does not include the visit to the inside of the Pantheon", and it can't cater for gluten-free, dairy-free or vegan diets (vegetarian works if you ask in advance; nut traces are possible). On Sundays only a few market stalls open. At $101 it's a lunch and a walk: add an entry ticket on another day, such as the $10 audio-guide ticket.

  • Campo de' Fiori market tastings with a local guide
  • Wine, beer and soft drinks included
  • A sit-down lunch, plus tiramisu, espresso and gelato stops
  • Navona, Sant'Eustachio, the Pantheon square and Trevi

We had prosciutto, cheese, and wine. Next stop was amazing pizza & beer. Then a lunch with 3 types of pizza and more wine. Then strolled some more, saw the Pantheon and other sights. Stopped for tiramisu which was amazing. Then a stop for espresso and then gelato!!

Come hungry because you get a lot for your money! Really good wine and beer (some didn’t drink and there was water and soda). The walking was fairly easy and we were not rushed!
